Ridley Scott's Red Riding Trilogy remake
The Red Riding Trilogy is a Channel 4 mini-series of films based on the novels by David Peace. Columbia Pictures has bought the rights to both with Steve Zaillian (American Gangster) in talks to write the script and Ridley Scott to direct. I expect they will compress the films into one film similar to what was done with Edge of Darkness. The setting will be changed from Britain to the US, so I don't think it will be as familiar when it's released in theaters. It's unknown if it will have it's original 70-80s era theme, it could end up getting a modern take.
