300 has brought back swords and sandals action films. We have a remake of Clash of The Titans, War of Gods, Hercules, a 300 sequel/prequel and Moses film. Now that Clash of The Titans is being remade there is hope Jason & The Argonauts could also get an update.
Growing up I loved the stop motion animation from the original Jason & The Argonauts. Universal Pictures has the rights and had plans for a remake but haven't really moved on it yet. The film would be based on the Bluewater comics Jason & The Argonauts: The Kingdom of Hedes.
Casting Thought
I think Jeffery Dean Morgan (The Losers, Red Dawn) would make an excellent Jason.
