Micheal Cassidy was on the shorlist for the role of Captain America but has confirmed via his Twitter account he didn't get the role. Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) who is also on that list has signed on to star in the Ridley/Tony Scott television series Nomads. Porter's chances to star in the film seems less likely since he'll now be involved with two shows. According to ScreenRant Canadain actor Neal Bledsoe has tested for a role. Considering Joe Johnston promised fans Cap would be played by an American. I assume he could be playing a supporting role possibly Bucky Barnes or one of the Invaders. It looks like Mike Vogel, Chace Crawford and John Krasinski are still contenders.
