David Fincher's Heavy Metal Moving Forward
It looks like 3D will be the life saver for David Fincher's new Heavy Metal movie. Deadline Hollywood claims that the film is moving forward and is in search of a studio. The film will be divided by 9 animated segements with different directors and stories. It's influenced by the cult adult magazine along with the original 1981 film. It will be graphic in nature filled nudity, sex, brutal violence and of course bad language. It will be filmed in 3D so I'm sure it will pick up speed.
Deadline also confirms previous rumors that James Cameron and Zack Snyder will direct segements for the film. Gore Verbinski and Rob Zombie were also names that were being attached to the project. I'm sure we'll be hearing more directors coming on board in the coming months.
Blur Studios will be handling the animation for the film. They previously worked with Fincher on the animated Goon movie. I've been very impressed by their animtion reels so I've posted the newest one and some footage from Dragon Age.
