Sometimes there are remakes that just make sense and Arthur is one of them. It's been thirty years since the original was released and with the people involved it sounds like it could be excellent. Of course any comedy starring Russell Brand you're going to get a solid comedic delivery. The best part is that it's been written by Peter Baynham who co-wrote both Borat and Bruno. Now it's been announced that Modern Family helmer Jason Winer will direct the film.
Last month there were rumors from The Hollywood Reporter that Meryl Streep is in talks to play the butler. This isn't beyond Streep as she's been moving into more comedies lately.
