CinemaSpy is running an interesting casting rumor which could see Chris Pine playing Captain America. They even mention in their article to take the information from their unproven source with a grain of salt. Some compelling information involves Pine's project schedule. It includes Unstoppable which is in post-production and The Art of Making Money/Star Trek 2 both are still in development phases. This could mean he could be available for the summer shoot.
I believe Pine could help the international appeal of the film with previously starring in the Star Trek reboot. That along with an international supporting cast could help the pro-American film work in other countries. Previously Pine had been rumored to have auditioned for Green Lantern.
