The autobiographical cancer comedy by Will Reiser deals with Reiser's discovery of the illness and his struggle to beat the disease. Mandate Pictures has tapped Seth Rogen along with writing partner Evan Goldberg to produce the project. Mandate is also developing Rogen and Goldberg's Apocalypse project. It's going to be a big stretch to make a cancer themed film funny.
James Mcavoy (Wanted) has been cast in the film and will more than likely will play the lead. Mcavoy is best known for his dramatic roles and recently has started action roles. It will be more than interesting to see if he can hold up in a comedy.
