Afro Samurai (2010)
Samuel L. Jackson revealed plans for a live-action film based on the animated series at this year's Comic-Con. "We have a live-action plan. Hopefully, that script will come together and we’ll be able to do that in the next two years or so.” He also commented that he wouldn't play Afro. I assume he'll have some sort of role in the production either a producer or having a role in the movie. It makes sense that there is a push for this to be developed into a feature, with many other anime projects in the works. Along with Jackson, Ron Perlman, Lucy Liu and Kelly Hu did voice acting in the series and the new "Afro Samurai Resurrection". The actors could be cast in the project as well.
Rza of the Wu-Tang Clan provided original music for the series. The series itself was influenced by hip-hop culture mixed with the anime/samurai culture. He'll most likely will be hired to return to score the live-action film. Rza's best known work was for Kill Bill Vol.1.
