'MACHETE KILLS' Plot Synopsis And Mel Gibson Confirmed As Villain

Variety confirms that Michelle Rodriguez will be returning for both Machete Kills and Fast Six. It's unknown if Michelle will be playing her original role. Knowing Robert Rodriguez he could end up creating a completely new character for her to play. Jessica Alba is also expected to return but there is no word on if Lindsay Lohan is coming back as well. Production starts this month in Austin, Texas so we should be hearing more casting news soon.

They also reveal the complete synopsis of the film which sees Machete recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who is Mexico's leading cartel dealer. Mel Gibson will be playing villain Luther Voz, a cunning arms dealer who aims to spread war across the globe by launching a missile from space. It will be interesting to see who they end up casting for the role of Mendez.

Lindsay Lohan To Star In Black Friday 3D?

BloodyDisgusting has an interesting casting story from the horror world. They believe that Lindsay Lohan could be starring in Black Friday 3D. Lohan has been fighting for work but got somewhat of career boost when Robert Rodriguez gave her role in Machete. This isn't set in stone but I love the sound of the film itself. It would follow a couple that's viciously assaulted. A brother and friends seek out the murderer and come face to face with the infamous serial killer known as Tyler Hillburg.


What's interesting about the project is that it will be headed up by Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura. He is best known for genre smashing films like Versus, Godzilla Final Wars and Midnight Meat Train. So it's going to be at least a well made film even if the acting ends up suspect. There had been rumors of Kane Hodder best known for playing Jason Voorhees could be cast as Hillburg. Oddly enough I saw Tom Sizemore's name also involved with the film.
