Variety reports that actor Tom Lipinski (Suits) has joined Jason Reitman's next film Labor Day based on the novel by Joyce Maynard. The film stars Josh Brolin who plays an escaped convict who comes into contact with a single mother played by Kate Winslet and her son while on the run in a small town. Lipinski will play a younger version of Brolin's character, I assume explaining why he was sent to prison. One role not filled is Kate's 13 year-old son and could be career starter for the lucky actor. Labor Day will shoot this June.
