HeatVision reports that Legendary Pictures smells a hit with Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. The studio is so confident they've already begun work on the sequel as Travis Beacham and Guillermo will start developing a script on Pacific Rim 2. No word on if the director or cast will be returning but barring the film doesn't bomb or the main characters aren't killed off expect a lot of them returning. Del Toro recently committed to making the haunted house pic Crimson Peak so expect a bit of a wait or a new director to come in to handle the sequel.
