Wang Xuequi Confirmed For Radioactive Man In IRON MAN 3? Fuelling Rumors Of Masters Of Evil In AVENGERS 2?

Deadline has word that the Chinese shoot of Iron Man 3 will commence soon. It's odd that they are still shooting with release only months away. I assume that it's pickup, establishing and exterior shots of country that are needed. Anyways, along with some standard overseas shooting they confirm that actor Wang Xuequi has been cast as Dr. Wu. Andy Lu (Infernal Affairs) had been originally wanted for the role but eventually walked and Wang was placed in the role. It's been mentioned that Wu will start off as a friend of Tony's but is really a villain in the waiting.

Wu is apparently a variation of the Marvel character Radioactive Man (Chen Lu). He is a conflicted member of both the Thunderbolts and Masters of Evil, playing both hero and villain. Rumors have begun that Avengers 2 more personal threat would be The Masters Evil originally founded by Captain America villain Baron Zemo.

Masters Of Evil In AVENGERS 2 Afterall?

What started off as my own speculation as three members of The Masters of Evil had been confirmed/rumored for upcoming Marvel films. They included Radioactive Man (Iron Man 3), Crossbones (Cap 2) and the rumored Baron Zemo (Cap 2). Now Marvel insider Roger Wardell has Tweeted that the Masters will indeed be involved in Avengers 2. Also, stating that instead of saving the world in the sequel the group will be saving themselves. Whedon had previously mentioned the sequel would be a more personal story told on a smaller scale. What could be more personal than a group of Marvel villains taking the offensive with the aim of killing off the Avengers instead of taking-over/destroying the planet?
