Gemma Arterton To Star In THE KEYS TO THE STREET Scripted By Christopher Nolan

Variety reports that Gemma Arterton (Runner Runner, RockNRolla), Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs) and Max Irons are set to star in the London-set crime thriller The Keys To The Street. Based on the novel by Ruth Rendell, the script was adapted by Christopher Nolan and Michael Stokes.

 Set in London’s exclusive Regent’s Park area, where a woman accepts a house-sitting assignment in order to escape her violent and disturbed ex-boyfriend Alastair (Roth). As a series of murders occur in the neighborhood, she starts an affair with another man, played by Max Irons.

Oscar Isaac And Jason Clarke Join William Monahan's MOJAVE

Variety reports that rising stars Oscar Isaac (Drive) and Jason Clarke (Lawless, Zero Dark Thirty) have joined William Monahan's next directorial effort titled Mojave. The original thriller also written by Monahan focuses on a man who escapes into the desert only to encounter a doppelganger-like antagonist and subsequently enter a vortex of criminality and violence. I'm sure the supporting cast will be equally as talented.

Monahan is best known as an Oscar winning screenwriter. Taking on all sorts of genres writing screenplays for films such as Kingdom of Heaven, The Departed and Sin City A Dame To Kill For. He went behind the camera in the messy British crime thriller London Boulevard which didn't do well with critics. It will be interesting if this second outing will be more successful for Monahan.

Tom Hardy Could Star In Crime Thriller ANIMAL RESCUE

Variety reports that Tom Hardy (Inception, Dark Knight Rises) is in talks to take a role in Animal Rescue. The Boston crime drama is based on a short story from author Dennis Lehane with Michael Roskam (Bullhead) attached to direct. Lehane's novels Shutter Island, Gone Baby Gone and Mystic River have been previously been adapted into awards caliber films. Dennis wrote the script himself which could mean it's going to be another solid outing.
