Nonso Anozie Joins Ender's Game

Deadline reports that rising star Nonso Anozie has landed a supporting role in Ender's Game. Nonso is best known to British audiences for roles in RockNRolla, Cass, Atonement, Happy-Go-Lucky and Brighton Rock. North American audiences will recognize him from Conan The Barbarian and The Grey. He also landed a part in season two of Game of Thrones which will likely help boost his awareness. Nonso will play Sgt. Dap in the film that is being released on March 15th 2013.

Abigail Breslin Cast In Ender's Game, Others Confirmed

ShowBlitz reports that Abigail Breslin (Zombieland) has joined the cast of Ender's Game. They also confirm that both Harrison Ford and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) are locked in for roles oppoiste Asa Butterfield (Hugo). It's interesting to see that they've got two young actresses who've been Oscar nominated. They also report that Aramis Knight, Moises Arias, Jimmy “Jax” Pinchak, Suraj Parthasarathy, Conor Carroll and Khylin Rhambo have joined the film.

Ben Kingsley Joins Ender's Game

HeatVision reports that Sir Ben Kingsley is in talks to join Gavin Hood's Ender's Game. Kingsley would play a war hero thought to be dead. Asa Butterfield, Ben's Hugo co-star has been cast in the title role along with Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) set for the female lead. Harrison Ford has been mentioned to be in the mix for a role as well.

Hailee Steinfeld Joins Ender's Game

ShowBlitz reports that True Grit breakout star Hailee Steinfeld is in final talks to take the role of Petra Arkanian in Ender's Game. Steinfeld had been in the running for the lead in Hunger Games which went to Jennifer Lawrence instead. Asa Butterfield is set for Ender with Harrison Ford in the mix as well. The film is set for a release on March 15th 2013.

I'm starting to warm up to the project with the cast they're putting together. It almost is making forget that director Gavin Hood was responsible for making X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Asa Butterfield Confirmed For Ender's Game, Harrison Ford Could Join

Variety confirms that Hugo's Asa Butterfield has landed the lead of Ender in Gavin Hood's Ender's Game. They go on to mention that Viggo Mortensen had been wanted for the role of Colonel Hyrum Graff but talks broke down. Harrison Ford among others are now in contention for the part. Ford recently worked with producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman on Cowboys And Aliens so the relationship could work in the film's favor. With the film expected to be released on March 15th 2013 I expect more casting announcements soon.

Deadline reports that Asa Buttferfield (Hugo, Son of Rambow, Boy In The Stripped Pajamas) has been offered the lead role in Ender's Game. The film directed by Gavin Hood with producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman backing the adaptation. It currently has a release date set for March 15th 2013.
