Variety reports that Legendary Pictures has bought the spec-script for a modern fantasy film Slayer. The script written by Martin Helgeland focuses on a modern world inhabited by dragons and the hero of the film discovers he's from a long line of dragon slayers. I'm hoping this ends up a little less apocalyptic than Reign of Fire.
