Tom Cruise Attaches Himself To Sci-Fi Flick YUKIKAZE At Warner Bros.
Deadline reports that Tom Cruise is sticking with science fiction as the actor has signed on to take the lead in Warner Bros' Yukikaze. The film is based on the string of Japanese novels by Chohel Kamayashi which spawned an anime series. Cruise took on All You Need Is Kill for the studio and is being looked at for Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. He also has Mission: Impossible 5 and a Jack Reacher sequel in development. It's possible that he could also have a sequel for Oblivion down the line as well. Yukikaze is yet another Japanese influenced project which fits previous projects like Pacific Rim, All You Need Is Kill and Godzilla.
In the early 21st Century, three decades after the alien force JAM invaded earth through a dimensional porthole that appeared over Antarctica. While humans beat back the attack, they form a special combat force to eradicate the alien threat on its home planet.
