Margot Robbie In Talks To Lead Rupert Sander's GHOST IN THE SHELL
TheWrap reports that Australian actress Margot Robbie (Tarzan, Wolf of Wall Street) is in early talks to take the lead role in Dreamworks' Ghost In The Shell movie. The film based on the widely popular anime/manga series, has been in development for ages. Rupert Sanders (Snow White And The Huntsman) will direct the film with an updated script from screenwriter Bill Wheeler.
Robbie's role would likely be a version of Major Motoko Kusanagi, a member of a covert ops team that fights tech/cyber crime and terrorists, in Japan. The Major is a cyborg herself, but it's unknown how many changes the filmmakers will make from the original source material.
