Alien Legion (2012-2013)

Jerry Bruckheimer (Prince of Persia, Pirates of The Caribbean) and Disney are bringing together a live-action adaptation of Alien Legion. The series created in 1984 focuses on the members of a military unit called Force Nomad, composed of the "dregs of the universe" and similar to the French Foreign Legion. It was published by Marvel's imprint Epic Comics and was a much grittier Star Trek blended with The Dirty Dozen/Kelly's Heroes. Epic Comics was one of the first comic book publishers that didn't abide to the comic code. Allowing for violent and mature content.

Derek Haas and Michael Brandt (Wanted, 3:10 To Yuma) have been hired to do yet another rewrite on the film's script. The pair are also writing for upcoming projects such as A-Team, Wanted 2 & 3, Matt Helm, Spy Hunter, Matarese Circle and Beverly Hills Cop 4. I'm curious to see if this project keeps it's original violent content or will be watered down for a PG-13 rating. Considering a lot of their projects are violent there might be chance this could end up rated R.
