SPECULATION: Wolverine Joining X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST?

It's been officially confirmed that Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart would be reprising their roles of Professor X and Magneto. This proves that the film would involve time travelling and could include other mutants from both franchises. We already know that James McAvoy (Charles), Michael Fassbender (Erik), Jennifer Lawrence (Raven) and Nicholas Hoult (Hank) will be returning set in their own 60's-70's era.

The inclusion of Ian and Patrick gives me the impression that it's only a matter of time before they announce that Singer will announce Hugh Jackman/Wolverine back into the fold. Logan playing a decent sized role in the Days of Future Past storyline from the comics. Jackman recently wrapped production on The Wolverine said to be the first film in Fox's cohesive Marvel universe. It could make sense to shoot future scenes featuring the fan favorite.

Bryan Singer Announces Patrick Stewart And Ian McKellen For X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Director Bryan Singer has announced via Twitter that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen have joined the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past. The pair originated the roles of Professor X and Magneto in the first trilogy. First Class cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult are also returning for the time-travelling blockbuster. No word on if Hugh Jackman's Wolverine (rumored) will also be along for the ride.

Ridley Scott's THE FOREVER WAR Get's A New Writer

Deadline reports that Ridley Scott's sci-fi epic The Forever War is getting a new screenwriter. They say that D.W. Harper has been tapped by Scott and Fox to develop a new script for the project. Harper recently adapted All You Need Is Kill which has similar tones. It had been rumored that David Peoples (Blade Runner) had also taken a shot at adapting the novel by Joe Haldeman. It sounds like Ridley's involvement with Prometheus, it's sequel Paradise and the Blade Runner sequel has sparked new interest in the film. Forever War has the ability to be the next Avatar franchise for Fox if done properly.

A soldier reluctantly battles an enemy in deep space, and while he spends a short time in battle, the time dilation of space channel causes him to return home to a planet that has aged to the point it is almost unrecognizable to the soldier.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Playing BATMAN In JUSTICE LEAGUE?

HitFix is reporting that Warner Bros. is looking to cast a member of the Justice League. While the the lineup is uncertain we know that Superman and Batman will be involved. Sources tell HitFix that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (John Blake) will be playing Batman in the film. At the end of Rises Blake was given the keys to the Batcave, allowing a transition for a new actor to take over the franchise. Zack Snyder recently hinted his film Man of Steel (produced by Nolan) could be setting up Justice League. Giving the impression that Henry Cavill could also be involved in the film aimed for a 2015 release date.

First Official Synopsis For STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

The official synopsis for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness has been released by Paramount. It seemingly gives a hint to who Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing. However, this likely won't be fully answered until the trailer is released.

In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. Marvel's Kevin Feige Talks IRON MAN 3, Confirms A Few Things

Iron Man 3 will be the flagship of Marvel's Phase Two rollout. It's also the first post-Avengers film and second with Disney being involved. Audiences are expecting big things from the film and the teaser trailer setting up a larger Iron Man film than we've previously seen. The series not being known for it's over-the-top spectacular action sequences (previous films have had average scenes at best) which will likely change in this third installment.

Marvel's Kevin Feige spoke to Empire (via CBM) revealing a few aspects of the third film. Confirming that Rhodey is indeed inside the Iron Patriot suit along with no Avengers/S.H.I.E.L.D. coming to help Tony. He also goes into why they waited until now to use Iron Man's most notable nemesis, The Mandarin.

This is all about how he was affected by the events of The Avengers, and how his world and mindset can be affected by that. By the end of Avengers, when a portal is opened up in Manhattan and he's met Thor and The Hulk and the Chitauri are coming down on him, he realises that he doesn't know everything; we think that has had an effect on his psyche, and then his world is blown out from underneath him. 

Early - and very late - drafts of Iron Man 1 featured The Mandarin as a villain. The Mandarin is his most famous foe in the comics mainly because he's been around the longest. If you look, there's not necessarily a definitive Mandarin storyline in the comics. So it was really about having an idea. In terms of the Fu Manchu stereotyping that was involved, we never had any interest in that. He's relentless. Assuming that he's the one responsible for what happens to Tony's house, no other villain has been able to strike that fast and that hard at one of our heroes. He's very much about believing that the world needs to learn, and he wants to bend the world to his vision.

Iron Man 3 doesn't feature any of the other Avengers, or Nick Fury showing up, or any of those world-blending conceits that the Phase One films had. You have to keep in mind that Iron Man 3 had been in the works for almost a year, year and a half before The Avengers was released. We're sticking to the vision for these films, and showing once again that these characters are just as interesting alone as they are together.

Tahmoh Penikett Confirmed For MAN OF STEEL, Is He Playing Matello?

Battlestar Galactica's Tahmoh Penikett has confirmed via Twitter that he indeed has a role in Man of Steel. While his involvement was never announced by trades or studio but it had been rumored he was in the film. Henry Ackerson (the character the person asking is referring to) is the alias of the Superman villain Metallo.

A military cyborg who is powered by kryptontie, had been mentioned as a possible addition to J.J. Abrams/Brett Ratner take of Superman Returns. Before Bryan Singer made his Richard Donner homage replacing him with Lex Luthor. Rumors had Matello pegged as a villain even during the early days of the Man of Steel production. Above is concept art from the Abrams/Ratner project possibly featuring the baddie.

Ben Mendelsohn Joins Christina Hendricks In HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER

MovieHole reports that Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn (Dark Knight Rises, Animal Kingdom, Killing Them Softly) has joined Ryan Gosling's directorial debut How To Catch A Monster. The two recently worked together on the crime thriller A Place Beyond The Pines. Christina Hendricks (Drive) also stars in the film as the lead character Billy.

How To Catch a Monster weaves elements of fantasy noir, and suspense into a modern day fairytale. Set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, Billy, a single mother of two, is swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and Bones must dive deep into the mystery, if their family is to survive.
