Anthony Hopkins Wanted For Villain Role In 'RED 2'
Deadline reports that Anthony Hopkins is looking to take the baddie role of Edward Bailey in RED 2. The only issue would be his commitment to the production of Thor 2 as Hopkins reprises the role of Odin. Tony is expected to see more action in the Thor sequel since he won't be stuck in Odin-sleep. One thing going for both projects is that they will be filming in Europe which could greatly help the chances of Hopkins being able to do both. The cast so far includes Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-Hun Lee.

Catherine Zeta-Jones And Byung-Hun Lee Join 'RED 2'
Collider has the official word from Summit/Lionsgate that Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones (Traffic, Oceans Twelve) and Korean actor Byung-Hun Lee (I Saw The Devil, G.I. Joe 1-2) have joined the cast of RED 2. Returning cast members include Bruce Willis, Mary Louise-Parker, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren. No word if Karl Urban who just wrapped Star Trek 2 will be returning as his name doesn't appear in the press release.
RED 2 brings back the team of retired CIA operatives as they use their old-school style to take on a new set of enemies all across Europe.

Bruce Willis To Star In Five Against The Bullet
Deadline reports that Bruce Willis has taken a lead role in Five Against The Bullet. The action film from writer Alex Litvak (Predators, Three Musketeers) focuses on on a Mexican politician who, after his father is killed by a drug cartel, hires the five best bodyguards from around the world to protect him through a contentious election. Willis of course will play one of the bodyguards tasked on protecting the politician. Here's hoping that other action stars as well known as Bruce take on the rest of the bodyguard roles. Willis has a slew of action films on their way this year with The Cold Light of Day, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Expendables 2. He's about to start production on A Good Day To Die Hard (Die Hard 5) and then RED 2.

RED 2 Has A Director
Variety reports that the sequel to the action comedy hit RED could finally have it's director. Dean Parisot is in final talks to helm RED 2 with the production expected to start up after Willis wraps Die Hard 5. Currently a script is in place written by Erich and Jon Hoeber who originally adapted the comic book for the first movie. Willis is a given but it's unknown if Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Brian Cox, Karl Urban and Morgan Freeman will be signing on to reprise their roles.
The inclusion of Parisot gives me the impression we could end up seeing a Die Hard reunion of sorts. The Galaxy Quest director has previously worked with Alan Rickman who played villain Hans Gruber in the original Die Hard. I wouldn't be shocked to see Rickman take a role in the sequel as previous supporting roles have been filled by seasoned dramatic actors. Alan might be known for serious characters but has a history of amazing dry comedic performances which would suit the sequel. Of course this is only my opinion.
