RUMOR: Are We Getting A Cameo From NOVA In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

We've already had hints that Adam Warlock will be appearing in some form (possibly cocoon) in Guardians of The Galaxy, but another cosmic character is rumored for the outer-space action comedy. LatinoReview is claiming we'll see Nova also known as Richard Rider make a cameo in the film, possibly in an end-credits scene. It's not hard to imagine that happening since The Nova Corps. are a well established force in the film.

They Add that this character could be played by none-other-than Nathan "rumored for every Marvel role" Fillon. Previously, the talk was he was going to play Peter Quill's father. We'll have to wait until August to find out for sure, where they'll be using him. Fillion could be playing a cantina bartender for all we know.

This image that popped-up on Reddit has fuelled the idea Nova film is in the works. However, we haven't heard this from trades or other blogs. While a Guardians sequel was mentioned recently by JoBlow, making Nova a major character in the next film would more sense than getting his own film. I have to call bullshit on this image, since Captain America 3 and Doctor Strange are currently the only films eyed for Marvel's 2016 slate. Nothing says that Marvel isn't developing a movie, there had been rumblings that Adam Warlock and Nova could get movies in the future.

Nathan Fillion Wants To Play A SPIDER-MAN Villain?

Fans have been dying to see Nathan Fillion play a Marvel superhero with rumors of him being in the running for Hank Pym (Ant-Man) and Peter Quill (Starlord). Nathan was asked on Twitter if he had his choice which Marvel character would he play? His answer was surprising as he names Spidey villain Mac Gargan (Scorpion). Considering the massive amount of villains already expected for Amazing Spider-Man 2 it's possible Marc Webb could seriously take him up on this. You might remember Paul Giamatti went on Conan to campaign for the role of The Rhino and ened up playing him in this upcoming sequel.

TO BE CONSIDERED: Joe Manganiello For Star-Lord In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Nathan Fillion's (fan favorite) involvement in James Gunn's Guardians of The Galaxy might be just rumors. As he recently stated his current commitments were to filming new episodes of Castle. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike, True Blood) at least test for the role of Star-Lord. Joe has been around for ages even playing the original Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man. He was also in talks for Man of Steel and mentioned a desire to play the new Batman in the eventual reboot.

CAST EM': Guardians Of The Galaxy

At the moment casting is in full swing for both Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. However, we haven't heard anything on Guardians of The Galaxy since they're still trying to wrangle James Gunn as it's director. I've come up with a few of my own casting choices for the game-changing superhero project that will see Marvel enter the off-world (also set in future?) science fiction epic genre. Guardians has the potential to be the next Star Wars for the studio as it would open the door to the cosmic world which has only been hinted to in previous films.

Nathan Fillion Playing Hank Pym in Avengers & Ant-Man?

MarvelousNews is reporting that Nathan Fillion (Serenity) is in final talks to take the role of Dr. Henry Pym. Better known as Hank Pym who creates tech-based-suits that give him special powers and alter egos such as Ant-Man, Yellow Jacket and Giant-Man. They're getting their information from the same source that confirmed Kevin Pennington's deal with Marvel Studios. The character is a founding member of the Avengers a long with his wife Janet. Considering Fillion's relationship with Avengers screenwriter and possible director Joss Whedon it's not hard to see him cast in the role. Perhaps this was part of the conversation that took place between Joss and Edgar Wright not too long ago. This would mean that Fillion would co-star in Avengers and headline Edgar Wright's Ant-Man.
