Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes hasn't even been released and Warner Bros. is already developing a sequel. Kieran and Michele Mulroney (Justice League: Mortal) have been hired to write the screenplay. Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and Rachel McAdams will more than likely return. Warner Bros. seems to have a serious franchise on their hands by the sounds of this. Considering Ritchie is about to start production on Lobo I don't see production starting until late 2010 or early 2011.

It was rumored that Brad Pitt could be playing Moriarty. The villainous Moriarty does make a breif cameo appearance in the first film, setting up a potential sequel. Originally denied by the studio, the Hollywood Reporter is now saying that Pitt is in talks with the studio.
