Sofia Coppola (Virgin Suicides, Lost In Translation) is one of my favorite writer/directors and it's been a while since we've seen a film from her. Her new film looks to be more like her previous films, featuring dysfunctional characters. "A bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter, he is forced to reexamine his life." Set in contemporary Los Angeles, the movie will be shot in the infamous Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont this summer.
Steven Dorff (Public Enemies) is cast as the hard partying father and Elle Fanning (Benjamin Button) as his daughter.
Chris Pontius best known as Party Boy from Jackass and Wild Boyz has been cast as the best friend of Steven Dorff's character.
