Swinton And Bell Could Join Chris Evans In Snow Piercer

ShowBlitz reports that Tilda Swinton (We Need To Talk About Kevin, Moonrise Kingdom) and Jamie Bell (Tintin, King Kong) are in talks to join the science fiction comic book film Snow Piercer. Korean director Bong-Joon Ho (The Host, Mother) is at the helm with Chris Evans (Captain America) in the lead role. The film is set in a post-apocalyptic winter world and takes place on board a train full of survivors, divided by class, battling to stay alive. Based on the French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige," created by author Jacques Lob.

Jim Jarmusch Making Vampire Film Starring Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska, Tilda Swinton & John Hurt

ThePlaylist reports that Jim Jarmusch's next film will be an untitled "crypto-vampire-love story". Details are unknown but Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska and Tilda Swinton will play vampires. While John Hurt (Alien) is also involved in unnamed role. I'm curious to see how this turns out as his last couple of films have fallen flat and it's genre aspect reminds me of his excellent Ghost Dog: The Way of The Samurai. Fassbender and Wasikowska previously worked together recently on Jane Eyre.

Actors In Talks For Wes Anderson's Moon Rise Kingdom

Deadline reports Wes Anderson is moving forward with his next live-action film Moon Rise Kingdom. Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Francis McDormand and Anderson regular Bill Murray are in talks for roles. Co-written by Wes and Roman Coppola the film is set to start production in late spring. I would expect it to be released during fall of next year in time for awards season.

Set in the 60's two young adults fall in love and run away. Leaders in their New England town are sticking the idea that they've disappeared and go in search of them. Norton will play a scout leader who brings his charges on a search. Willis is in talks to play the town sheriff who’s also looking, and who is having an affair with the missing girl’s mother, the role McDormand is in talks to play. Murray, a regular in Anderson films, will play the girl's father, who has his own issues.
