First Trailer For Marvel's ANT-MAN And A Bunch Of Screen Grabs

Marvel's trailer for Ant-Man is somber and taking a bit of a tone to Christopher Nolan's Batman trailers but at the same time still in on the joke. Having Paul Rudd's Scott Lang asking if he could change the name of the hero. It's a decent enough teaser considering they only recently wrapped production and the film won't be out for another seven months. We're luckily enough to see some of the ant point-of-view shots from the Comic-Con footage included.

Oddly, we don't see any footage from the 60s flashbacks which will have a young Hank working for SHIELD. Peggy Carter and Howard Stark being involved with those scenes, will further link Ant-Man and Wasp to the origins of both SHIELD and AVENGERS.

Below is a bunch of shots from the trailer as well.

Stanley Tucci Spoils Hayley Atwell's Cameo In CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

During an interview with Collider actor Stanley Tucci was asked if he would be returning for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He said no, but added that Hayley Atwell would be back in a flashback scene. Giving the impression it was a fact rather than a belief. Sounds more like a cameo to me but thanks for giving it away Tucci! I'm sure Marvel is going to give him an ear-full. I won't go into detail what this flashback might look like but it's safe to say this could make fans of the first film very happy.

"No, they haven’t, unfortunately. I’m really sad. I know that Hayley is going back to do a flashback scene, but I have not been asked."

Hayley Atwell Won't Be In CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

There had been rumblings that actress Hayley Atwell was possibly reprising the role of Peggy in Captain America: The Winter Solider. It wasn't defined what that return would look like. A couple of ways included flashbacks to the WWII era, her playing an aged Carter or her taking on the present day Carter role of Sharon who is S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Confirmation of sorts coming from Timeout (via ThePlaylist) gives the impression that Atwell won't be back afterall. It's expected a new actress will be hired to portray a present day female lead and love interest. The cast already includes Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Frank Grillo, Sebastian Stan and Cobie Smulders.

A bunch of trades have reported a slew of actresses in the running for a new female lead, assumed to be Peggy's relative S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Sharon Carter. They included Oscar nominated Anna Kendrick (End of Watch, Up In The Air, 50/50), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Death Proof, Smashed), Felicity Jones (Like Crazy), Jessica Brown Findlay (Winter's Tale, Downton Abbey), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Alison Brie, Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Imogen Poots (Fright Night, Centurion, 28 Weeks Later). Kendrick played it coy when asked about her involvement. However, candidates such as Winstead and Jones have flat out denied they have been contacted about it. Even though reputable source LatinoReview has pegged Winstead (previously tested for Maria Hill in Avengers) as a front-runner. Both Anna and Mary Elizabeth worked with Chris Evans on Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

A UK site mentioned Jessica Brown Findlay who is gaining popularity for her series Downton Abbey as another actress the studio is hot for. Alison Brie's Community connection to directors The Russo Brothers could help her chances along with her ability to use a convincing British accent. Emilia Clarke best known for her pivotial role in Game of Thrones could also be helped by her connections to Thrones showrunner Alan Taylor who is directing Thor: The Dark World.

Even then she tested for a role in Captain America that would later go to Hayley Atwell. Blunt had also been rumored for a role in The Dark Knight Rises. Now Collider was able to ask her if she'd ever want to be in a superhero film and her answer is mixed.
