Deadline reports that character actor Shea Whigham has joined Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. Shea is best known for his role in HBO's Boardwalk Empire but has had roles in films such as Sliver Linings Playbook, Savages, Take Shelter, Knight of Cups and Machete. The thriller stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill (Moneyball), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Kyle Chandler (Zero Dark Thirty), Matthew McConaughey, Jon Bernthal (Walking Dead), Jon Favreau and Margot Robbie (Pan Am).
It's being reported that French actor and recent Oscar winner Jean Dujardin (The Artist) is now in talks to join Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. The 80's financial thriller already stars Leonardo DiCaprio Jonah Hill and Kyle Chandler. Jean would play a Swiss banker involved in laundering illicit funds for the protag’s (DiCaprio) firm. Marty isn't messing around casting-wise and we should expect more big names to get involved soon as production starts.

Everyone involved with Safe House seems to be scoring some prime gigs recently. THR reports Fares Fares best known for roles in the previously mentioned film has landed a high profiled part in Kathryn Bigelow's (Hurt Locker) Zero Dark Thirty, formerly known as Kill Bin Laden. It's been stated while his role is unknown he'll be playing one of the "good guys". While he did play an excellent antagonist in Safe House he was definitely playing a military man.

Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) has joined the production who is best known for films like King Kong, Super 8, and the upcoming CIA thriller Argo. The film focuses on the mission given to SEAL Team Six to ultimately kill the terrorist leader hiding in Pakistan. The rest of the cast includes Jason Clarke (Public Enemies, Wettest County), Joel Edgerton (Warrior, Animal Kingdom), Jessica Chastain (Help, Tree of Life, Debt), Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Chris Pratt (Moneyball) and Edgar Ramirez (Che). It's release date has been set for December 19th 2012.
