Rob Corddry Wants To Play A Villain In Edgar Wright's ANT-MAN
While speaking with ComicBookResources comedic actor Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, Operation: Endgame, Warm Bodies) revealed which comic book film he'd want to be apart of. He says he wants a shot at playing the villain in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man. It's an interesting proposal if it's not just Rob being humorous. Rob would make an excellent S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, similar to the casting of John C. Reilly in Guardians of The Galaxy. However, it sounds like he's looking more at the meatier role of Elihas Starr (Egghead). I assume that Starr could be apart of A.I.M. which was established in Iron Man 3, with Aldrich Killian. It's the second time we've heard an actor asking to play the baddie in the film, the first one being Simon Pegg. Pegg recently removed himself as a possibility for the project and crushed rumors of taking a lead role.
“I want to play the bad guy in Ant-Man. The bad guy in Ant-Man. Tell the world!”

SPOILER SPECULATION: Could Guy Pearce's Villainous Killian Really Be Tony Stark's Brother In IRON MAN 3?
While the Mandarin has been the villain front and center Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian has been apart of the marketing campaign and even the toyline. It's possible that his role as villain is being underplayed because he may be revealed as Stark's brother Greg. We have kept hearing that how much of the Ultimates has influenced the Marvel cinematic universe even more so with the Iron Man franchise. However, one aspect of Tony's family life hasn't been revealed or even mentioned and that is an older brother existing.
Gregory Stark is a technological genius and has even surpassed his brother with his more advanced-tech. Greg has an army of nanites that reside within his body. These nanites are self-sustaining and grant Greg the ability to created force fields strong enough to withstand massive blows including dishing out energy blasts. A power similar to that of extremis which has been confirmed that Killian will end up applying to himself and others. Having him linked to Advanced Idea Mechanics seems like a solid way to include the evil group without having to rely on Modok or Strucker (known as Captain America villains) to back up the organization. Gregory might end up being a replacement for Norman Osborn as the head of H.A.M.M.E.R. (a rival to S.H.I.E.L.D) in Avengers sequels. Which could lead to the formation of the Masters of Evil/Dark Avengers and Greg becoming an Avengers baddie.

RUMOR: A.I.M. To Be The Villains Of ANT-MAN?
Another rumor focusing on Ant-Man has appeared as well. It states that Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.) will have a major role in the film (according to recent drafts of the script). The terrorist organization is a splinter group of HYDRA and will factor in Iron Man 3 (as seen from set pictures) in some way. It's possible that the arms group could try to get ahold of S.H.I.E.L.D. technology and Ant-Man is sent in to retrive it. There had been talk the hero was being reinvented as a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent similar to Captain America. That tech could be the "Phase Two" weapons seen in Avengers, Pym's suits or an early version of Ultron who becomes an Avengers villain himself.
A building for A.I.M. had been spotted on the set of Iron Man 3. This may or may not involve Guy Pearce's Killian who is confirmed to be playing a villain in the film. Guy has stated that his character would only be a cameo. Why bring in someone as talented as Peace for just a cameo? It opens the door to my speculation that Killian might actually be villain Baron Strucker. Strucker is the creator of Advanced Idea Mechanics and appoints himself the new leader of HYDRA. Could Guy Pearce's character resurface in Ant-Man?
Captain America writer Christopher Markus had put it out there he'd like to see Peter Dinklage in the role of Modok, another member of A.I.M.
Simon Pegg has stated if he got involved with Ant-Man he'd want to play villain which could be Egghead. It wouldn't be hard to make him apart of A.I.M. as well.

Stephanie Szostak Joins IRON MAN 3, Could She Be Playing Whitney Frost?
I'm a little late on this news but French actress Stephanie Sozstak (R.I.P.D., We Bought A Zoo, Devil Wears Prada) has joined the stellar cast of Iron Man 3. It was announced at Comic-Con during the Marvel pannel. While her character hasn't been revealed it's possible that she's been cast Whitney Frost (Madame Masque). Emily Blunt had been linked for the role before the film begun it's casting so it's possible they've just cast another actress. However, there's a bit of a link between Frost and Pepper becoming Rescue so Marvel could be holding that back for Iron Man 4. Not to mention the two other large villains Killian (Guy Pearce) and The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) already in place, it might be too crowded. That being said, it's also possible she might have been cast as Tony's quick witted secretary Kathleen Rennie. Other speculation place her as a possible candidate for Janet van Dyne (The Wasp) who could be introduced in the film.

A.I.M. Spotted On 'IRON MAN 3' Set
ComicBookMovie has found an image of the building for Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.) on the set of Iron Man 3. It seemingly could be the workplace of main villain Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) who creates the Extremis virus setting in motion the conflict of the picture. Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) could also be involved with the terrorist group as well as it could be an upscale replacement for The Ten Rings. The group is known as Marvel villains and have fought Avengers, Iron Man and SHIELD in the past. A.I.M. has their own personal army (like Hydra) who wear ridiculous bright yellow uniforms.
The corporation is a front for a Hydra-aligned terrorist group that is led in the comics by Modok. It was originally created during WWII as Hydra's weapons sub-group by Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. They have plans for world domination through technological means. It seems like A.I.M. could be the group that Killian and Mandarin are apart of when they develop the Extremis virus unleashing a group of superpowered villains on the globe. I don't expect to see either Modok or Strucker involved as the two have been mentioned as possible villains for Captain America 2. Another idea is that this could be Marvel planting seeds to setup the group as the new Hydra (or Hydra in hiding) in the Cap sequel.
This isn't the first time we've seen shoutouts to evil Marvel companies in the Iron Man films. In the first film during the Iron Monger fight the Roxxon Corperation building was shown in the background. Roxxon which is an energy company has ties to both A.I.M. and Hydra. Of course Hammer Industries was also highlighted in Iron Man 2 they had government contracts to recreate Stark's tech for the military. Hammer's motivation in that film was jealousy to be as successful as Stark. I wouldn't be shocked to see A.I.M. getting government funding only to use the suits and virus for their own means.

Guy Pearce The Main Villain Of 'IRON MAN 3' And Kingsley Confirmed As The Mandarin
LatinoReview is confirming that Ben Kingsley is indeed playing The Mandarin (Gene Khan?) in Iron Man 3. However, he won't be the main villain of the film which will be scientist Aldrich Killian played by Guy Pearce (Memento, Lockout, Hurt Locker, Lawless, Prometheus). Mandarin will be more of a silent partner to Killian who develops the Extremis virus and creates a group of his own Extremis soldiers. It's very possible that Eric Savin/Coldblood (James Badge Dale) and Jack Taggert/Firepower (Ashely Hamilton) will be apart of this army and they will be greatly changed from their original incarnations in the comics.
LatinoReview has a decent enough track record with the Marvel exclusives, as they previously reported that Loki was going to be the villain of Avengers before it was announced. Seemingly this confirms that Marvel is combining Extremis and Armor Wars. It's possible they are moving slowly with amount of The Mandarin to leave room to use him as a main villain in Iron Man 4 or even Avengers 2. Marvel might be hopeful to get a couple more Iron Man films out of Robert Downey Jr. so they're holding back on a few villains (popular ones like Ghost and Whitney Frost). I wouldn't be surprised to see Crimson Dynamo (another version), Kearson DeWitt, Titanium Man and Cobalt included in Killian's Extremis army.

Guy Pearce Joins 'IRON MAN 3'
Variety reports that Australian actor Guy Pearce (Lockout, Prometheus) is currently in final talks to play Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3. In the comics he co-created the Extremis technology that Iron Man adopts after Killian sells it to terrorists. A likely clue to a return of the Ten Rings lead by Mandarin? Pearce is best known for a string of character driven roles in films like Memento, L.A. Confidential, The Propostion Animal Kingdom, The Hurt Locker, Count of Monte Cristo, The King's Speech and the upcoming film Lawless (Wettest County). His pedigree as an actor gives the impression he very well could end up a main villain in the film.
