Dwayne Johnson Confirms Lead Role In THE JANSON DIRECTIVE

It looks like Universal Pictures will have a third Bourne franchise. Actor Dwayne Johnson has confirmed via Twitter, a lead role in the studio's The Janson Directive. The film is based on Robert Ludlum's (the Bourne series) final novel, and will be scripted by Akiva Goldsman. Jason Bourne won't feature in the film, as the main character is an ex-Navy Seal named Paul Janson. However, it's hard to imagine that Universal won't try to crossover Janson with Bourne (Matt Damon) and Cross (Jeremy Renner) in the future.
