Nathan Fillion's (fan favorite) involvement in James Gunn's Guardians of The Galaxy might be just rumors. As he recently stated his current commitments were to filming new episodes of Castle. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike, True Blood) at least test for the role of Star-Lord. Joe has been around for ages even playing the original Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man. He was also in talks for Man of Steel and mentioned a desire to play the new Batman in the eventual reboot.
